Find your exact age in years, months, days, hours and minutes
Age calculation seems simple โ subtract your birth year from the current year โ but it's more complex than that. Your exact age depends on whether your birthday has passed yet this year. If today is March 15, 2025 and you were born on December 1, 2000, you are 24 years old (not 25), because your birthday hasn't happened yet in 2025.
The formula: Age = Current Year โ Birth Year, then subtract 1 if your birthday hasn't occurred yet this year. Our age calculator handles all edge cases including leap year birthdays.

Most countries use the international standard: age increases on your birthday each year. South Korea traditionally uses a different system (everyone is 1 at birth and ages increase on New Year's Day), though South Korea officially switched to the international system in 2023.
